Editor's Note:

This is the newsletter's first attempt to tackle the sensitive issue of TS adults having children. Some individuals discover they have TS after having a child with the disease while others are faced with the agonizing decision of whether to have a child. Among the latter group, some decide not to have kids at all, some adopt or use a donor egg/sperm, and others accept the 50-50 risk of passing on the TS gene. With any decision, there are difficulties involved. This editor believes that the decision is a personal one, and she does not support or condemn any single path. However, she feels strongly that people should make informed decisions. In an effort to provide some insight, the TS Adult Forum in subsequent issues will try to publish stories of people who've chosen the various paths. Letters to the Editor regarding this issue will be highly welcome.
